I am currently a Software Architect at a company that focuses on providing point-of-sale software to the insurance and financial services. We primarily focus on using Microsoft technologies, which I have been involved with for over 10 years.
My development experience started back with Visual Basic 4. When Visual Basic 6 came out we made the move to the web with our flagship product. Once Microsoft .Net came out, we made the transition for the VB6 and C++ world, to ASP.NET using C#.
I am always working to keep my skill set up to date, which can obviously be pretty challenging when dealing with technology. My area of emphasis has always been at the user interface level, but I also focus on the service layer as well.
